Author Guidelines

General
The Journal of Biology and Biomedical Research (J2BR) is an online open access peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing original research papers, review papers, and short communications across various disciplines of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. J2BR is committed to disseminating research findings in the field of biology and biomedical research. The scope of J2BR encompasses the evaluation of biological processes, molecular interactions, and their practical applications in both research and industry settings. There are no restrictions on the length of the papers, and authors are encouraged to provide comprehensive experimental details for result reproducibility.

Before submitting your first article, you should apply for a username and password. J2BR provides an online submission process through the (lien).

The manuscript will undergo an initial screening by an editor to ensure adherence to the journal's instructions and identify any gross deficiencies. If necessary, the corresponding author may be contacted by the editorial office for clarification, or the manuscript may be rejected. Following this screening, the manuscript will be sent to two to four referees, and a statistical reviewer may be involved if appropriate. On average, authors can expect to receive a first decision within six weeks.

Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted online by exclusively one of the authors by clicking on 'Submit your paper' in the J2BR editorial system. Regardless of the word processing tool used, unformatted texts (doc or docx files) can be submitted via the system. To facilitate rapid publication and minimize administrative costs, only online submissions are accepted. The submitting author is responsible for the submission and peer review processes. If, due to technical issues, submission through the system is not feasible, the author may ask for assistance from the editorial office. Prior to submission, manuscripts must adhere to the formatting guidelines and style outlined in the journal Template (lien).

During submission, you will be required to provide a cover letter. Use this to explain why your manuscript should be published in the journal and to elaborate on any issues related to our editorial policies, as detailed in the instructions for authors.

Terms of Submission
Papers should only be submitted if they have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration by another publisher. The submitting author is responsible for obtaining approval for publication from all co-authors. Additionally, authors must ensure that articles submitted on behalf of an institution have the necessary approval. Only an acknowledgement from the editorial office establishes the date of receipt officially. Further correspondence and proofs will be sent to the author(s) before publication, unless otherwise indicated. It is a condition of paper submission that the authors permit editing of the paper for readability.

Only a maximum of two publications by the same author or team of authors may be included in one issue of a journal. If more than two publications are submitted at the same time, all will be rejected immediately.

Submission of a manuscript to J2BR implies that all authors have read and agreed to its content. Any research reported in the manuscript must have been performed with the approval of an appropriate ethics committee. Research carried out on humans must comply with the Helsinki Declaration, and any experimental research on animals must follow internationally recognized guidelines. A statement indicating approval from the relevant body, along with a reference number where applicable, must be included in the Methods section of the manuscript. Informed consent must also be documented. Manuscripts may be rejected if the research is deemed to have been conducted outside of an ethical framework, such as when the severity of the experimental procedure is not justified by the value of the knowledge gained. Please refer to our detailed research policy below:

The journal only publishes original research articles or reviews that are both innovative and scientifically rigorous.

Plagiarism check
After submitting your paper, we will check it for plagiarism using the iThenticate similarity test. The overall similarity index must not exceed 25%, and the similarity of any single paper must not exceed 5%. If either of these limits is exceeded, the paper will be rejected by the editor.

– Abstract.
– Keywords.

– Abbreviations: The manuscript should start with a dedicated section containing not-common abbreviations.
– The main text.

– Author Contributions.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the information in each reference is complete and accurate. The reference list should only include newest publications (last 10 years) and be arranged in alphabetical order. It is recommended to avoid multiple citations, but a maximum of 2–3 citations by the same author are acceptable.

All references should be cited between brackets within the text, and should adhere to the following guidelines:

✓ Three or more authors: List the first author's name followed by 'et al.' and the year of publication.

Arrange references initially in alphabetical order and subsequently, if required, sort them chronologically. If there are multiple references from the same author(s) in the same year, distinguish them by appending the letters 'a,' 'b,' 'c,' etc., following the year of publication.

The references in the list should follow the style examples provided:
